Description

Mercenary Companies use any type of vehicles they can get their hands on to get the job done. Converting military vehicles is common, as well as using civilian ones: whatever can give an edge in battle is put to good use. The Scooter Squadrons are a cheap and easy way to scout the battlefield and conduct armed reconnaissance missions. These light vehicles are agile and very easy to maintain, two characteristics loved by the Mercenaries.

This reference includes two different Units: the Anti-Tank Squadron and the Recon Squadron. Each Unit is made of three Small Vehicles and use new Skills that can be found below.

SMALL VEHICLE

A Small Vehicle always receives Cover. When in Cover, it does not gain an Improved Save. A Small Vehicle determines and affects Line of Sight as if it was an Infantry Unit, but does not block Line of Sight for another Small Vehicle.

When it is destroyed, a Small Vehicle does not become a Wreck (it is too small).

VEHICLE SQUADRON

A Vehicle Squadron is a single Unit made of several Small Vehicles. As a single Unit, all miniatures in the Vehicle Squadron activate at the same time, execute the same Actions and are all oriented towards the same side of a square (the Unit only has one facing). However, when they are Attacked, they are treated as individual Vehicles: damage and Critical Hits are assigned to each miniature one by one. When a Vehicle in the Squadron is destroyed, so are its Weapons.

A Vehicle Squadron can be piloted by a Hero with the Pilot or Ace Pilot Skill and since it is a single Unit, only one Hero can Join the Unit. Its Skills affect all the miniatures in the Squadron. The Hero is always considered to be in the last Vehicle in the Squadron and has to roll to escape unharmed as usual. The Hero can also dismount as usual for Vehicles piloted.
